Street Fair

Well, the big day finally happened on Sunday my first "larger" craft fair. Since I went in with no expectations (after the tiny disappointing one in May I didn't know what to expect) I felt really good about how the day went. Of course, it could've been better (like selling all my stock!) but overall I was quite happy.

In my nervousness/excitement as the day began, I didn't take nearly enough pictures of my booth (nor very good ones with the early morning sun glare), but I'll share the ones I did get!

In addition to my Etsy shop offerings of NB-2T tutus I had longer tutus for sizes 2T-5T, which actually fit at least up to 6/7. I also had "Tutu Hair Ties" as a little impulse offering. For adults I had clothespin magnets with a sweet little handmade tulle flower and my tied tulle garlands. What was left of my original "single layer" tutus I offered as doll tutus. Some of my tutus were on a good sale. Overall my prices ranged from 2 for $1 hair ties to $18.00 for 2T-5T tutus and I sold at least one piece of everything I offered. The tutus for 2T-5T were a hit as were the fall color tutus.

I had a bowl of freebie Dum Dum suckers for the kids (with parent permission of course) and the clothespin magnet freebies for adults. At a Farmers Market on Saturday I picked up a bouquet of beautiful flowers to give my booth a little pop and my photographer friend brought a couple of prints from photos she had done with my tutus as props.

I was happy with my booth display although when it got a little windy in the afternoon I had to do some adjustments as I had some flying tutus!
