So I got to put it to use for some sweet, simple and quick Valentine's for my little guys preschool class. Although, it was a little bit of a pain because half of my project kept cutting wrong (straight edges on hearts instead of curved, see picture below) even though it looked perfect on screen... hmmm... Anyone else every run into this problem???
I use Cricut craft room for all my cutting purposes so far. I actually find the thought of cutting without craft room, straight from a cartridge a little daunting. Not to mention it's nice to use different shapes from different cartridges at one time. So I used several different heart shapes (in part trying to get pasted the distorted cuts) and then layered on two very small circles.
Twice as many cuts later as it should've taken we had cute little hearts that we stamped with FROM Hunter and slid some little Valentine's day suckers in. Ta Da! Sweet simple Valentine's for classmates.
The little guy and I are working on some cute cards for grandparents etc, hopefully we can get a post up about them sometime later this week! :)
Another fun think we did this week was attend our area's March of Dimes March for Babies family team kickoff event. This will be our family's 5th year walking in memory of my daughter and my son, both who were born prematurely and passed away soon after birth. Something I decided to do this year to help raise money for our team was to create some tutu's for our daughter Morgan and do a big fundraiser through my Etsy store. So, if you are in the market for a tutu (or know someone who is!) please keep my shop in mind as 50-75% of sales for the next 2.5 months will be going to the March of Dimes!
